About Yoda the Service Dog
Our Story
Hey there! It's me! It's Yoder! Here I is!
I came into the mommas' lives basically by accident. I was rescued from a horrible situation and given to my mommas to be part of their family. They hadn't been looking for me or expecting me, but there I was. The Mommas trained me to be her service dog. I picked up everything very quickly and they always say I'm the best dog they've ever had. I'm with The Mommas 24/7 and wouldn't have it any other way. Since The Other Mommas is The Mommas' caregiver, basically all 3 of us are together all day every day. And we'd love to bring you into our lives for the fun, the exciting, the boring, the sad, the everything. Come along for the ride!!
Our Team
Our team is our family. We're made up of the three of us: The Mommas, Yoda (me), and The Other Mommas. The Mommas (on the left) is disabled and needs my services. She's in a wheelchair and has other conditions that make doing certain things difficult. This is where The Other Mommas (on the right) excels. She's with The Mommas all day every day and does almost anything that The Mommas can't do. My job is medical in nature. So, my small size isn't a problem, it actually gives me an advantage. You'll see what I mean when you watch our videos. I monitor The Mommas' diabetes and let her know if her blood sugar is too high or too low so that she can correct it before it becomes dangerous. I also monitor her seizure activity and let her know if she's about to have a seizure so that she, and The Other Mommas, can prepare for it. The three of us work in tandem and have no trouble not only navigating life, but having a great time doing it!
